About Hope House
Established in 1992, Hope House has served 95,376 (up 8,139 from 2010). The hungry and homeless of the inner-city Utica area have come to rely upon at least one daily meal at Hope House. Hope House has also provided countless hours of safe haven from the streets for the people who are their guests, many of whom feel that they come to Hope House to be with "Family".
Hope House has as its statement of purpose "to maintain a hospitality center which provides hot meals to the needy while complementing, through referral, other community social services."
Hope House seeks to serve:
- Men, women and children who need a hot meal once a day.
- Those facing crisis situations or in need of a place of calm and rest from the hassle of the streets.
- Those who find that there are more days in the month than there are dollars to live on.
Anyone who is hungry is welcome to come and eat free of charge.
